                                  Who Are We?

We know you may have countless choices from which to receive assistance in preparing for retirement.  Technical skills are a dime-a-dozen. Slick advertising and expensive offices say nothing about how well the consultant will attend to your needs.

First and foremost, we are paid to listen attentively and to openly communicate.  Then, and only then, can we make meaningful suggestions regarding a possible course of action.

Craig Wear, CFP®

A short time after graduation from Texas A&M University in 1982, Craig opened his financial planning practice as an independent advisor.  Where others have chosen to affiliate with aninsurance company or securities firm, Craig has remained committed to the ideal of offering totally independent advice to his clients.  He went on to earn the designation of Certified Financial Planner® in 1988.

What began as a very slow process of building his client base as an independent advisor, has matured into a successful financial planning practice benefiting from the talents and skills of other professionals in the industry. For several years, Craig's talk radio show, Clear Direction for Retirement, has been enjoyed by listeners across Texas and over the internet around the world.

If asked about his greatest professional accomplishment, Craig would speak thankfully of the privilege he has had to maintain long-lasting client relationships without the usual turnover in the industry. How? "Understanding people, doing my homework, and doing what I'm paid to do."

Chris Wootton

Chris Wootton was employed in accounting, financial, trading, and management positions in both the public and private sectors after graduating from the University of Houston with a degree in Accounting.  His career in the financial services industry was born out of a family tragedy involving his grandparents. He witnessed the devastating financial effects of illness, nursing homes, and a lack of planning.

Chris states that "most financial disasters are the result of procrastination, that with a little prudence and planning can be avoided thus reducing the stress on our loved ones and ourselves."  What was a tragedy for his family became a driving passion that led Chris to help other families.

Chris and his wife live in Kingwood with their children.  The family is active in their church and private school. When not spending time with his family Chris enjoys reading, traveling, and the outdoors.
